Netflix has practically hit the delete button on Kim Kardashian’s awkward encounter at Tom Brady’s roast faster than you can say “SKIMS.”
When the reality TV star strutted onto the stage during Netflix’s live airing of The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, on that fateful Sunday, May 5th, she was greeted with cheers that quickly morphed into boos from the audience.
But fear not, for Netflix has come to the rescue, wielding its editing magic to snip out those cringe-worthy moments faster than you can say “Kanye West.”
As the dust settles and the internet erupts in a frenzy of memes, Netflix has scrubbed away the evidence faster than you can say “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
Of course, we reached out to Kardashian’s reps for comment, but let’s face it, they’re probably busy trying to figure out how to spin this into a promotional opportunity for her next fragrance line.
During the live spectacle, Kim attempted to land a joke about Brady’s height, but alas, the crowd’s heckling drowned her out faster than you can say “Kris Jenner’s master plan.”
“I know a lot of people make fun of your height,” she valiantly soldiered on before the tidal wave of negativity engulfed her. With an awkward laugh and a “whoa, whoa, whoa” from an off-camera voice, Kim tried to salvage the sinking ship of her comedy career.
Undeterred, Kim soldiered on, poking fun at the dating rumors swirling around her and the retired NFL quarterback. “I wasnโt going to come tonight,” she quipped, “but since I’m not here as Tom’s date, there’s still a good chance I might.” Ah, classic Kardashian wit, sharper than Kanye’s fashion critiques.
And then came the punchline: “I’d never say if we did or not. I’d just release the tape.” Oh Kim, always keeping us on our toes, like a modern-day Houdini of scandal.
Kim couldn’t resist throwing shade at Brady’s “high cheekbones” and “silky hair,” comparing him to her former stepparent Caitlyn Jenner. Talk about keeping it in the family!
She even managed to sneak in a nod to her late father’s legal career, because nothing says “roast” like a good ol’ O.J. Simpson reference.
And just like that, in a whirlwind of awkwardness and celebrity name-dropping, Kim Kardashian wrapped up her three-minute stint onstage, leaving us all wondering if we’ll ever look at a football the same way again.
The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, now streaming on Netflix. Just remember, the best moments may have been edited out faster than you can say “Kardashian curse.”
