Morgan Wallen & Post Malone Just Dropped a Country Banger and We’re Emotionally Not Okay

Buy Me A Coffee

Morgan Wallen and Post Malone have teamed up again and they’re not here for your nonsense. Their new song, “I Ain’t Comin’ Back,” just dropped like a boot in a honky-tonk bar fight, and whew… it’s got us feeling like we just got dumped via tractor.

This dynamic duo previously set the charts on fire with “I Had Some Help,” a track that clung to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks—basically the musical version of a toxic ex who won’t leave your group chat. And now? They’re back to twist the knife in your heart with another twangy tale of heartbreak and high-speed emotional exits.

The new track is part of Morgan’s upcoming therapy session disguised as an album, aptly titled “I’m the Problem,” which hits your playlists (and emotional pressure points) on May 16. Oh, and fun fact: the album has 37 songs. Yes, 3-7. That’s not an album—that’s a full-blown country soap opera with bonus tracks.

Let’s talk lyrics, shall we? Morgan kicks off the chorus like he just speed-ran a breakup:

“But the night I said ‘I’m leavin,’ I turned into Richard Petty / Broke my heart, so I got even in my ’97 Chevy…”

Okay first of all, the man really compared his heartbreak escape to Richard Petty, aka NASCAR royalty. That’s not a breakup—that’s a sponsored high-speed emotional exit. Then he goes on to serve spiritual chaos:

“Now I’m walkin’ on this water, mixed with Johnnie Walker Black / There’s a lot of reasons I ain’t Jesus / But the main one is that I ain’t comin’ back.”

Look, if we had a dollar for every time a breakup made us drink whiskey and have a God complex, we’d also be dropping 37-track albums.

Now go listen to the song and try not to text your ex. Morgan and Post wouldn’t approve. 🎸🥃💔
