Meghan McCain has officially put her sassiest hat on and is coming for Meghan Markle. The former co-host of The View wasn’t holding back after Netflix dropped the trailer for Markle’s new lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan. Spoiler alert: McCain wasn’t sending any love back.
Taking to X (which is apparently what we’re calling Twitter now because nothing makes sense anymore), McCain declared the series “out of touch” in a scathing post that practically screamed, “I’ve got time today.”
When Megs Attack
McCain started her rant by reminding everyone that she used to like Markle. “I thought she was cool, stylish, and refreshing,” she wrote, presumably while sipping her tea and side-eyeing the trailer. But oh, how the times have changed. McCain’s support for Markle seemed to evaporate faster than your willpower at a donut shop, all because the Duchess of Sussex apparently disrespected the royal family.
“Now that she wants to be American again instead of British aristocracy, what she seems to forget is Americans want real, raw, uncensored,” McCain declared. Basically, she’s saying, “Keep your tiaras, Markle, and give us the mess!”
Meg’s Hot Takes (Not the Netflix Kind)
McCain didn’t stop there. Oh no, she had more thoughts than a group chat after a messy breakup. She slammed the series as “highly curated, produced, and out of touch,” citing global crises like terror attacks, wars, and skyrocketing grocery prices. Basically, her vibe was, “Read the room, Meghan!”
Then came the unsolicited career advice. McCain suggested Markle ditch the glam and star in a show about solving real-world problems, like bringing fresh food to food deserts in low-income neighborhoods. “Do something to help people instead of your ego,” she wrote, practically dropping the mic.
The Verdict
McCain ended her tirade with a zinger that could cut glass. “This is why the world doesn’t like you,” she said. “Just completely and utterly tone deaf to the moment.” Translation? Meghan Markle, you’re canceled. Again. For the 900th time.
Meanwhile, With Love, Meghan is set to hit Netflix on January 15, giving viewers the chance to decide for themselves whether the Duchess of Sussex is truly out of touch—or just living her best curated life.
Stay tuned for more episodes of The Battle of the Meghans. Grab the popcorn, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
I was originally a Meghan Markle supporter, I thought she was cool, stylish and refreshing.
Like the rest of the world my opinion changed when she disrespected the royal family. Now that she wants to be American again instead of British aristocracy what she seems to forget is… https://t.co/EexXfqm28P
