Meghan Markle, Duchess of Montecito and Queen of Kombucha (probably), has finally spilled the royal tea on why her new Netflix show With Love, Meghan wasn’t filmed in her actual palace—I mean, house.
Now, if you were expecting a cribs-style tour of Meghan and Harry’s glamorous Californian estate with sparkling countertops, serene yoga nooks, and Prince Harry maybe wandering around in athleisure… sorry to disappoint. Instead of filming at her real-life royal abode, Meghan chose to film at a nearby farmhouse. Like, not too far—still very much within Uber Eats range.
During the 2025 Time100 Summit in New York City—because of course she was at the Time100 Summit, where else would a duchess casually drop life advice—Meghan gave us the lowdown.
And the reason is… NAP TIME. Yes, the royal toddlers, Archie (5) and Lilibet (3), have strict nap schedules that do not involve boom mics and 80 strangers rummaging through their organic fruit basket.
“When people say, ‘Why didn’t you film in your house?’ I’m like… because I have kids coming home for their nap. And 80 people in the kitchen isn’t really the core memory I want to bless them with,” Meghan said, probably while sipping a lavender latte and making eye contact with the souls of the audience.
She added that choosing a nearby filming location was her way of setting boundaries. “It’s how I take care of myself,” she said, reminding us that self-care isn’t just bath bombs and journaling—it’s also kicking out camera crews before nap time.
And the best part? Netflix has already green-lit Season 2 of With Love, Meghan. So buckle up for more farmhouse fabulousness, curated vibes, and zero toddler tantrums in the background. 👑📺✨
