The iconic twin duo, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, are out and about—like unicorns spotted in a coffee shop—and they just gave a super rare interview with Vogue! Yes, the 38-year-old fashion moguls are back at it, and this time, they’re not just here to make you feel inadequate with their chicness. They’re opening their fifth store!
That’s right, the fashion brand known as The Row is spreading its wings (or should I say, its fabulous cashmere sweaters) to Paris! “We’ve been on a treasure hunt for years,” Ashley confessed in an interview that practically dropped like a new season of a reality show. “We thought we’d hit the Parisian jackpot before London, but it turns out we were on a wild goose chase. Then, like a fairy godmother with a map, a friend pointed us to this magical spot 18 months ago.”
The Row already struts its stuff in New York City, Long Island, Los Angeles, and London—talk about a globe-trotting wardrobe! And now, they’re about to take over a building that used to serve croissants and escargot! Bon appétit, fashionistas!
“It’s essential for us that the store feels like a cozy neighborhood café where the locals can sip espresso and contemplate their life choices while looking fabulous,” Ashley said. “We want everyone who walks in to feel like they just found a pair of shoes on sale that also cures existential dread!”
But opening a new store isn’t all champagne and confetti. The sisters are preparing for some classic hiccups along the way, like trying to teach a cat to swim. “You need to be like a ninja—quick on your feet and ready to pivot!” Ashley declared, channeling her inner yoga guru. “We may not have chosen the most obvious Parisian location—think less Champs-Élysées, more ‘surprise, we’re here!’—but we’re ready to rock the boat!”
With renovations that would make even the most stubborn IKEA furniture tremble, the sisters are making frequent trips to Paris to supervise the transformation of their new fashion palace. They even took a break to grab dinner with their sister, Elizabeth Olsen, because what’s a trip to Paris without a little family bonding and a side of baguette?
“The best way to describe our journey? It’s like a toddler learning to walk: lots of baby steps, a few tumbles, and a support team who are just as confused as we are,” Ashley quipped.
And Mary-Kate couldn’t resist adding a cheeky comment about their store’s design, saying, “Having all these windows is a dream, but also a puzzle. Because let’s be real—Ashley and I are on a strict ‘less is more’ plan when it comes to window displays. Who needs to show off the goods when you can have dramatic, vacant windows instead?”
So, stay tuned, Paris! The Olsens are coming, and they’re bringing the chicest show on earth with them!
