Madison Beer is out here teaching Fan Etiquette 101 with a side of sass and self-preservation!
So, picture this: Madison Beer, our 25-year-old pop queen, is living her best life on tour, making everyone cry happy tears with her angelic voice. But hold up—she’s got a message for her fans. Spoiler alert: it’s all about boundaries, baby! Taking notes from her buddy Chappell Roan (who’s probably somewhere nodding in solidarity), Madison is like, “Y’all are amazing, but I’m not signing autographs while I’m brushing my teeth at 2 AM in my hotel room, okay?”
Madison took to Instagram Stories (because where else do celebrities deliver their TED talks?) and said, “Helllloooooo!! 👋 Just hopping on here because apparently, some of y’all are confused about why I politely decline photo ops when I’m at my hotel.”
Translation: “I know you love me, and I love you back, but hotels are my TEMPORARY HOME when I’m on tour, people! I mean, would you want strangers knocking on your door at 3 in the morning asking for selfies while you’re in your PJs? Didn’t think so. 😘”
She goes on to drop some wisdom: “Look, I’m entitled to private time just like anybody else. Shocking, I know!” And if that wasn’t enough, she added, “Oh, and by the way, taking pics at my hotel basically broadcasts my exact GPS coordinates to the world, and I don’t need that kind of stress. I mean, I love you, but I also love not being kidnapped, ya feel me?”
Madison, who’s been living out of a suitcase since February (seriously, give this woman a gold medal), is currently slaying stages internationally. So if you’re lucky enough to see her in concert, cheer as loud as you want. But maybe leave the paparazzi stuff at the venue and not, you know, outside her bathroom window.
Madison’s message is clear: love her, admire her, but maybe don’t camp out at her hotel like it’s a Taylor Swift album drop.
