Lizzo just reminded the world that she is, in fact, still bad—and no, not in the “forgot-to-pay-her-WiFi-bill” kind of way. The 36-year-old Queen of Sass and Snacks dropped her brand-new anthem, “Still Bad,” on Thursday (March 13), and let’s just say, if confidence had a theme song, this would be it.
Not only did she bless our ears with the track, but she also hit us with a music video directed by Collin Tilley. (Probably to make sure you feel how bad she is. In case you had any doubts. Which you shouldn’t.)
The Lyrics? A Whole Mood.
“I don’t need him. I need a drink.” – Lizzo, poet of our generation.
Honestly, she could’ve stopped right there and still had every freshly single person dancing in their kitchen, but she continues:
“After everything, I’m still surviving and I’m still bad, baby, so b–h I can’t complain.”
Translation: Life tried it, but Lizzo said, “Try again, sweetheart.”
The Album & Surprise Shows
“Still Bad” follows Lizzo’s recent track, “Love In Real Life,” which marked her first solo release in three years. (Three years without Lizzo? How did we survive? Scientists should study this.)
Both songs are leading up to her upcoming fifth album, Love In Real Life. To celebrate, she’s throwing a few super intimate fan shows. And by “intimate,” we mean good luck getting a ticket because Lizzo fans don’t play.
She already rocked The Wiltern in Los Angeles and is headed to:
📍 Irving Plaza in New York (March 16)
📍 First Avenue in Minneapolis (March 18)
If you want tickets, you’d better click faster than a scammer trying to sell Beyoncé concert seats.
🎥 Now, stop what you’re doing and go watch the music video. Lizzo demands it.
