On August 21, the dynamic duo traded their on-screen drama for a splashy beach day in Malibu, CA. The ocean turned into their personal playground as they frolicked through the waves, leaving everyone wondering if they were filming a movie or just competing in an extreme water sports event. At one point, Jamie Lee Curtis took an unplanned nap in the sand after a rogue wave decided she needed a break. After a quick sand-to-surf transition, they hugged it out in the water, probably discussing which one of them had the most epic ocean wipeout.
For those who’ve been living under a rock—or a particularly heavy sand dune—Freaky Friday originally hit theaters in 2003. The new film is scheduled to wash ashore sometime next year, promising even more freaky fun.
