Would Lauren Graham waltz back into Stars Hollow for another round of rapid-fire coffee-fueled banter as Lorelai Gilmore?
The answer? Oh, honey, she’s already got her bags packed.
The 57-year-old queen of quirky mom energy confirmed that she’d be down for a Gilmore Girls reboot any day, any time, even if she has to personally drag Luke and his flannel shirts back onto set.
“I always say yes because it’s the best part I ever had,” Lauren gushed on The Tonight Show, probably fighting the urge to break into a monologue that lasts four uninterrupted minutes. “I love doing it. It was just that magical mix—the perfect material at the perfect time with the perfect writer.”
Aww, isn’t that sweet? But wait, there’s more!
Lauren admits that the Gilmore fandom can be a little, um… intense.
“On one hand, people are like, ‘You raised me!’ and I’m thinking, ‘I really hope there were some other adults involved,’” she joked. (Seriously, if your entire childhood moral compass was built on Lorelai Gilmore’s life advice, therapy might be in order.)
But then, there are the other fans—the ones who have the show on just for the vibes.
“They’re like, ‘Oh yeah, it’s just on in the background. My dog falls asleep to it. We don’t even listen anymore—it’s just ambient noise.’”
Iconic. Imagine pouring your heart and soul into a performance and finding out it’s been demoted to white noise for a snoring Labrador.
But don’t worry, Graham isn’t just waiting by the phone for Netflix to text “u up?” She’s busy starring in the new Tubi Original comedy series The Z-Suite—which, let’s be real, will either be a hilarious masterpiece or a Tubi fever dream. Only time will tell.
Either way, we’re here for it.
