Katie Cassidy is about to face the ultimate parenting nightmare—on camera! The Arrow star (yes, the one who can take down bad guys but now has to deal with diaper explosions) is set to lead the psychological thriller Nanny-Cam, and guess who’s running the show? None other than Jersey Shore’s very own, Jenni “JWoww” Farley. That’s right! The woman who once fought Snooki over a duck phone is now directing a horror movie. We love to see range!
Filming kicks off next month in New Jersey (because where else would a JWoww horror flick take place?), and the plot is serving up some serious “is this real life, or did I just drink too much cold brew?” energy. Katie plays a new mom who starts to suspect that an evil demon is after her baby. But is it actually a demon, or is she just really, really sleep-deprived? That’s the million-dollar question!
JWoww, who’s drawing from her own experiences with an absent mother and the general chaos of first-time parenting, says this film is extra personal. Honestly, if you’ve ever pulled an all-nighter with a screaming newborn, you *know* the line between exhaustion and demonic possession gets blurry real fast.
Also starring Riley Dandy, Myles Clohessy, and Sol Miranda, Nanny-Cam is stacking up to be the kind of thriller that makes you reconsider whether you actually need kids or if a houseplant will do just fine.
JWoww made her directorial debut with Devon, a found-footage horror movie that hit Screambox in 2024. Now, she’s back, ready to make parents everywhere whisper, “Maybe a nanny cam isn’t such a bad idea after all.”
“This film captures the unsettling darkness of self-doubt, revealing how personal demons can turn motherhood into a terrifying struggle,” JWoww explained. Aka: It’s The Exorcist meets Mommy Needs a Nap.
Will Katie survive? Will the demon turn out to be an actual ghost or just the curse of colic? And most importantly—will JWoww slip in a Jersey Shore Easter egg? Only time will tell.
Stay tuned, and maybe sleep with one eye open… especially if you have a baby monitor in the room. 👀
