Ohhh, the tea is scalding, and it’s being served in a Yeezy-branded mug.
So here’s what’s hotter than any Met Gala outfit this week: Kanye “I Interrupt Award Shows” West has officially lawyered up and sent a cease-and-desist to none other than his ex-wife, contour queen and Met Gala mainstay Kim Kardashian. Why? Because their daughter, North West, apparently made her red carpet debut — and papa Ye was not on the guest list for that plan.
According to Kanye, Kim’s been out here acting like she’s running a solo parenting podcast — and he’s citing some serious “no-no” behavior that allegedly goes against their joint custody agreement. The biggest offense? The Unauthorized Met Gala-ing of Miss North West. (That’s probably not the legal term, but it should be.)
Sources say Kanye is heated because North was spotted twinning with her mom at fashion’s biggest night, and then — plot twist — allegedly left chillin’ alone in a car while Kim did her thing on the red carpet. A MET Gala Uber? A MetGALAxy far, far away? We don’t know, but Ye is yelling “Violation!” louder than a Fashion Police siren.
The legal letter basically reads like:
“Dear Kim,
You brought our daughter to the Met Gala — without proper Ye-clearance. You exposed her to paparazzi, TikTok, flashbulbs, and possibly Doja Cat meowing in the background. You also uploaded her on social media (which I’m very much not okay with), AND you left her unsupervised in a metal box with wheels. You’re violating our custody agreement and possibly common sense. Signed, The Artist Formerly Known as Chill.”
Also mentioned: Kim allegedly denied Kanye some quality dad time, and may be guilty of “unauthorized exploitation,” which sounds like a rejected Black Mirror episode.
So yeah. The custody drama has officially entered its red carpet era.
Meanwhile, North just wanted to slay a carpet, scroll TikTok, and maybe hit a hotel buffet. But now she’s stuck between two fashion icons throwing legal handbags at each other.
Stay tuned. This is Hollywood parenting — but make it litigious.
