Jennifer Lopez recently took a break from her busy schedule of being fabulous to reflect on how her life experiences have helped her channel her inner superhero in her new movie Unstoppable. And no, she’s not wearing a cape—she’s just channeling all those “challenging relationships.”
In this cinematic masterpiece, J.Lo, 55 (and still looking like she just stepped out of a music video from 1999), plays the formidable Judy Robles. This film is all about Judy’s son, Anthony, who manages to wrestle his way to fame against all odds. Move over, other movies; there’s a new champion in town!
During a recent chat with Variety, Jennifer was all about those relatable vibes, sharing how she and Judy are practically soulmates. “We were kindred spirits,” she mused, probably while swatting away compliments about her ageless glow. “We both grew up Latina in this country, both have kids, and both have aspirations bigger than my hair in the early 2000s. And let’s not forget the challenging relationships that left us picking up the pieces like it’s a jigsaw puzzle gone rogue.”
In her infinite wisdom, J.Lo also took a moment to give a shout-out to women everywhere. “Women are strong,” she declared, probably while striking a pose that would make any Instagram filter jealous. “We’ve been proving ourselves since birth. And then there’s childbirth—because if you want to know what strength is, just try pushing out a tiny human!”
As for the future, this queen isn’t slowing down anytime soon. “I’m only halfway there,” she declared, raising an eyebrow like a true diva. “My best work is still to come! My biggest projects, my greatest successes—it’s all in the pipeline, just waiting to burst out like confetti at a New Year’s party!”
Mark your calendars! Unstoppable will be crashing onto Prime Video on January 16th, and if you think J.Lo is just going to sit back and relax, think again! She’s ready to conquer the world one movie at a time!
