Jax Taylor is taking a trip down memory lane—and it’s a road paved with awkward teenage years and absolutely no parental guidance on the birds and the bees.
During the Thursday (March 20) episode of his podcast In the Mind of a Man, the 45-year-old professional reality TV troublemaker got real about his “conservative” upbringing in Michigan.
When guest and sex therapist Dr. Emily Morse asked if he ever had the talk with his parents, Jax was quick to shut that idea down.
“No,” he said bluntly. “And I grew up in a very conservative neighborhood. I don’t even think my dad ever attempted the sex talk with me. Maybe he just assumed I’d figure it out like cavemen did—through trial and error.”
And figure it out he did… eventually.
Jax, who has spent most of his adult life making reality TV producers very happy, described himself as a “late bloomer,” revealing:
“Sex wasn’t really a big thing back then. I didn’t lose my virginity until I was 19.”
(Nineteen! Which, in Hollywood terms, basically makes him a senior citizen in the V-card department.)
But wait—there’s more. Later in the episode, Jax took things up a notch by casually wondering if he might have a slight sex addiction. This bombshell came after his previous confession about struggling with a cocaine addiction.
Jax didn’t exactly confirm or deny the self-diagnosis, but let’s just say, if reality TV has taught us anything, it’s that this man does not do things in moderation.
Would we expect anything less from Mr. Jax Taylor? Absolutely not.
