Jax Taylor, the star of The Valley (and let’s be real, the Valley of Drama), is spilling the tea about the unexpected support system in his life. Drumroll, please! It’s none other than his buddy and former Vanderpump Rules co-star, Tom Sandoval. Yes, you heard that right!
In the latest episode of his podcast, When Reality Hits (which is basically a masterclass in reality TV recovery), Jax dropped some bombshells about his friendship with Tom. You might want to sit down for this one: Tom has been checking in on him more than anyone else since Jax’s latest sojourn to the mental health treatment facility. Shocking, right?
“Actually, Tom Sandoval has reached out to me more than anybody, and I know people are gonna be shocked by that,” Jax said, probably doing jazz hands for emphasis. This revelation came while he was answering a fan’s burning question about whether Tom had given him a shout-out post-treatment. “He was just checking on me… I was shocked because I hadn’t heard from Tom in a long time, and now I probably talk to him three or four times a week.”
Can you imagine? Jax and Tom—two peas in a very dysfunctional pod—chatting like they’re on a group text discussing their favorite hair gel.
But wait, there’s more! Jax shared that he’s been hanging out with Tom more often, and we’re not just talking about the “meet at the bar and pretend we’re still 21” kind of hangout. “He comes to the bar, he sings karaoke. You know, he’s on tour right now, but I just hung out with him and his mom and his dad, and it was just great to see him.”
Because nothing screams “quality time” like karaoke with mom and dad, right? We can only imagine the heartfelt ballads and awkward family dynamics that unfolded.
Jax wrapped it up with the kind of love that can only be found in a reality TV love triangle: “I love Tom, and I will always love him no matter what he does. He’s my best friend, along with Tom Schwartz. They’re both my best friends.” So, is it a love triangle, or is it more like a love pentagon with the way these guys keep flipping their friendships like pancakes?
