Hunter Schafer, the dazzling star of Euphoria, is jumping into the neon-soaked, dystopian world of Prime Video’s Blade Runner 2099. The 25-year-old actress is ready to co-star with none other than the legendary Michelle Yeoh. Talk about a power duo!
Now, if you’re wondering what characters they’ll be playing, join the club. Character details are locked up tighter than Fort Knox, so your guess is as good as ours. Maybe they’ll be replicants, maybe they’ll be human – who knows? They might even be future versions of ourselves who finally figured out how to keep a house plant alive.
Blade Runner 2099 is being cooked up as a limited series by showrunner Silka Luisa, with Jonathan van Tulleken directing the first two episodes. Sounds fancy, right? Unfortunately, they’re keeping the premiere date as secretive as a magician’s best tricks. The series has just kicked off production in Prague, after a last-minute move from Belfast. We can only assume they went with Prague because the beer is cheaper and the architecture looks cooler in dystopian futures.
