The 55-year-old megastar, known for slicing and dicing as Wolverine, didn’t always have fans swooning. Before his fame skyrocketed, Hugh was a jack-of-all-trades, including a stint as a ranger for the National Parks Wildlife Foundation of Australia. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
During a fiery session on Hot Ones, Hugh shared another pre-fame job that might just blow your mind. Ready? Hugh Jackman was…a clown. Yep, you read that right—a full-on, red-nosed, balloon-twisting clown.
“I literally rented a clown outfit,” Hugh confessed, adding that he partnered up with a buddy who was equally clueless. “We had no skills, literally no skills. I once broke my own rule and did an 8-year-old’s party. I always knew kids were my kryptonite, and this one kid was my nemesis. He yelled, ‘Mom, this clown is crap!’ And I’m standing there thinking, ‘Great, I’ve been outed by a pint-sized critic.’ So I told him, ‘Shut up, kid.’”
Hugh didn’t stop there. He tried juggling as his pièce de résistance. One day, he got bold and decided to juggle eggs, culminating in a grand finale where he smashed them on his own head. Spoiler alert: the kids weren’t impressed.
