Halle Bailey just put her ex DDG on a public timeout! During a Twitch livestream with YouTuber Kai Cenat on November 6, DDG—yes, that’s him, the rapper—brought their baby boy, Halo, into the frame for his grand debut. You’d think he’d just revealed a new album, but nope, it was their 11-month-old son, looking cute and totally unaware of the brewing drama.
Halle, who was not tuning into Twitch but rather doing her own thing, probably sipping some herbal tea on the other side of the country, got wind of this little “surprise” and immediately took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to say, “Uh-uh, not on my watch!”
She tweeted, “hi everyone. just so you know i am out of town and i don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight.” Translation: “I didn’t greenlight this livestream cameo for Baby Halo, okay?”
The actress continued her online mom-mic-drop, adding, “i wasn’t told or notified and i am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people. i am his mother and protector and saddened that i wasn’t notified especially when i am out of town.” Read: No surprise premieres for Halo without mom’s say-so! She’s a mermaid and a mom, which means double the protective instincts.
Meanwhile, DDG has been radio silent, possibly rethinking his livestream career or maybe just hiding from the wrath of Halle. He probably didn’t expect to be in the hot seat over a Twitch stream with his son. Who knew?
As a quick recap: Halle and DDG got together in 2022, blessed the world with baby Halo in January 2024, and then called it quits in early October. And while they may have split, one thing’s clear—Halle’s got mom rage and knows how to wield it!
