Florence Pugh might just have a new boo, and she’s telling us the modern way: via emoji.
Finn Cole, the brooding British snack from Peaky Blinders, showed up looking like a human tuxedo at the premiere of Florence’s new movie, Thunderbolts. Naturally, he posted some thirst-trap-adjacent red carpet pics on Instagram, casually captioned:
“Thunderbolts Premiere in London, go WATCH.”
Enter Florence, stage left, to casually drop a melting smiley face emoji in the comments—a move that basically translates to, “I’m unwell, you look hot, send help.”
Social media detectives (aka all of us with nothing better to do) immediately started foaming at the mouth. Could it be? Are they dating? Are they just really supportive theater kids? Or is Florence just trolling us all like the chaotic queen she is?
Let’s rewind: back in July 2024, the flirt-fest officially kicked off when Florence left an aggressively enthusiastic comment on Finn’s Insta, where he was promoting his play Red Speedo—a production that involves him in a swimsuit, because of course it does.
Florence commented:
“Oh my gosh this is unbelievably exciting! Granny Pat wants to come.. #obvi”
Granny Pat??? Ma’am, are you flirting or organizing a family reunion at a Speedo-centric play?
Since then, these two have been making sneaky little appearances together like it’s their side hustle. They were spotted chilling at Glastonbury Festival (possibly bonding over overpriced falafel and muddy boots), and they were also seen stealthily slipping out of the Perfect Couple premiere in September 2024. Nothing screams “we’re totally not dating” like sneaking out of a movie premiere together, right?
So, are Florence and Finn officially a thing? Who knows. But one thing’s for sure—if Instagram comments were Olympic sports, Florence just scored a gold medal in digital flirtation.
Stay tuned. This situationship is developing faster than your ex’s new relationship after your breakup.
