The mother of one of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims has come forward, disappointed not with the notorious serial killer, but with a Grammy-winning popstar who just can’t get enough of him.
The drama began when the popstar, in a podcast confession that left jaws dropping faster than a hot mic scandal, revealed her bizarre fascination with the 1990s serial killer. You know, the guy with the charming hobby of killing and dismembering 17 men over 13 years. Yeah, him.
The singer, 31, nonchalantly named Dahmer as her dream dinner guest. Because why not bring a little horror to haute cuisine, right? She even shared this charming tidbit with a group of young fans during a Q&A early in her career, proving that bad taste isn’t just a fashion choice.
Tony Hughes’s mom, Shirley, is not impressed. She told TMZ that Grande’s confession left her more emotional than watching a tear-jerker on Netflix. Shirley didn’t find it amusing when Ariana chuckled about her Dahmer fascination on the podcast, suggesting the popstar might need a reality check (or at least a different dinner guest).
“Seriously? Dinner with Dahmer? That’s not fancy or funny,” Shirley exclaimed. “Telling young people you’d dine with a serial killer? Not exactly role model material.”
Shirley wasn’t alone in her bewilderment. Tony’s sister, Barbara, also took the mic to criticize Grande for glamorizing a man who was more about munching on men than making music. Let’s not forget, Dahmer’s life ended in a less-than-glamorous prison beatdown in 1994.
This isn’t the first time Tony’s family has faced a media storm. They were equally outraged when Netflix rolled out “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” featuring Evan Peters as the infamous flesh-eater.
When it comes to dinner party guests, maybe stick to the living. Or at least the ones who don’t have a penchant for human potluck.
