This chaotic romance stars Dakota Johnson as a hotshot NYC matchmaker who suddenly realizes that her own love life is a complete and utter mess. On one side, we have Pedro Pascal as the perfect man—probably rich, probably emotionally stable, probably smells like expensive cologne. On the other side? Chris Evans, the imperfect ex, which means he’s got just enough red flags to keep things interesting. Dakota’s character now has to make the ultimate decision: stability or spicy bad decisions?
The film is written and directed by Celine Song, who is clearly out here trying to make us question our own life choices. Materialists will grace our eyeballs in theaters on June 13, 2025.
