Season three of Bridgerton has just wrapped up, but fans are already twitching with anticipation for another round of Regency-era shenanigans.
In the latest juicy installment of the beloved Netflix series, Nicola Coughlan’s Penelope and Luke Newton’s Colin basked in the limelight. Now, rumors are swirling that Luke Thompson’s Benedict might don the leading man’s breeches in Season 4.
But hold your horses—when will we actually get to feast our eyes on this next season? Showrunner Jess Brownell has some tea to spill, and it comes with a side of patience pie.
Chatting with The Hollywood Reporter, Jess warned fans to buckle up for a bit of a wait.
“I’m jazzed about what we’re cooking up. We’re wrapping up the writers’ room for the season, and honestly, it’s some of our best stuff yet. The team is vibing, and we’re cranking out gold. I can’t wait for fans to see it,” she gushed.
She also mentioned they’re trying to kick things into high gear. But you can’t rush perfection—or Bridgerton, apparently. Jess broke it down for us:
“We’re hustling to get the seasons out faster, but it takes eight months to shoot, then editing, and then dubbing into every language known to humankind,” she explained. “And the writing? That’s no quickie either. We’re on this two-year cycle, but trying to speed it up. So, somewhere in that ballpark.”
So, if you’re marking your calendars, pencil in 2026. Yeah, it’s like waiting for the next ice age, but at least we’ll have something to binge-watch while we wait.
Jess played coy about which Bridgerton sibling will hog the spotlight next. However, she dropped a tantalizing hint: some fans are “going to be very, very happy” with their choice. So, start speculating and may the odds be ever in your favorite sibling’s favor!
