Simone Ashley recently spilled the tea about the future of our beloved Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma on “Bridgerton,” and trust me, it’s juicier than Lady Whistledown’s latest scandal sheet!
Simone and her partner-in-crime, Jonathan Bailey, who play the dynamic duo that took the second season by storm and continued to dazzle in the freshly released third season, were at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival doing what they do best – being fabulous and making us all swoon.
During this glamorous event, Simone dropped some hints about whether she and Jonathan would be gracing our screens again in the fourth season. And let’s just say, she didn’t leave us hanging!
Simone declared with the kind of enthusiasm that makes you want to binge-watch the entire series again, “I really hope so!” (via People). Can we get a collective “Huzzah!”?
She gushed about her on-screen romance, saying, “Both Johnny and I, we adore our characters, Kate and Anthony, so much and their relationship and what they mean for the show.” Translation: They’re as obsessed with their characters as we are. Who knew?
Now, before you start planning your season four watch party, here’s the scoop – nothing is set in stone just yet. But don’t fret, dear reader, because Simone assured us, “I think we’ll do all we can with our schedules to make it work so that we can, hopefully.” In other words, they’re ready to clear their calendars faster than you can say “Regency era.”
