The former Gossip Girl star just announced the arrival of her brand-new line, Blake Brown Beauty, and let’s just say, it’s got us all flipping our hair like we’re in a shampoo commercial. On Wednesday (July 31), she broke the big news on Instagram, and boy, did she do it with style (because duh, she’s Blake Lively).
“Ever since I was a kid, through adolescence, early adulthood, motherhood, work, personal life, and even that awkward stage where I tried to make ‘fetch’ happen, the single most identifiable part of me has always been my personalit—what? Not my personality? Oh, right… my hair,” Blake humorously confessed as she introduced the new line.
Apparently, Blake’s mane has been her BFF for 36 years and counting, and like any long-term relationship, it’s all about that TLC. So, what does one do when their hair is practically their soulmate? They spend seven years (yep, seven!) concocting a haircare line that’s been more of an epic quest than Frodo’s journey to Mordor. “Impressive or just, like, why did it take so long? Either way, it’s finally here—my newest baby, @blakebrownbeauty,” she continued, probably while tossing her fabulous hair over her shoulder.
But wait, why did Blake decide to create her own line when she already had products that worked? Great question!
