Lads, we’ve got a winner! Barry Keoghan, our favorite mischief-maker from Saltburn, is swapping luxury bathtubs for… websites? That’s right, the 32-year-old actor is the star of Squarespace’s 2025 Super Bowl commercial, airing this Sunday (February 9) during the biggest football game of the year (which, let’s be honest, half of us only watch for the ads and snacks).
For their 11th Super Bowl campaign, Squarespace pulled out all the stops, hiring legendary director Steve Rogers to create a 30-second cinematic masterpiece titled “A Tale as Old as Websites.” And because Barry is about as Irish as a cup of tea on a rainy day, the whole thing was filmed in the emerald hills of Ireland. It’s set to air between the first and second quarters—so don’t get too distracted by the guac and wings, or you might miss it!
“I’m a very proud Irish lad, so bringing this campaign to life with Squarespace and filming against the beautiful backdrop of Ireland was absolutely unreal,” Barry gushed in a statement. “Squarespace always makes ads that are next-level cinematic, so working with Steve Rogers and the amazing crew was an experience. Plus, I got to work with a donkey again, so… dream job!”
Yes, you read that right. Barry Keoghan, the Oscar-nominated actor, is out here racking up more donkey co-stars than most people rack up LinkedIn endorsements. What role does the donkey play? Is it the real brains behind the website-building magic? Will it outshine Barry? Who knows!
One thing’s for sure—this is about to be the most Irish Super Bowl ad ever, and we are absolutely here for it. Watch inside… before the donkey steals the show!
