Ariana Grande is back, and this time, she’s turning a delicate little weed into the most seductive thing since… well, ever. Her new song “Dandelion” (from the deluxe edition of Eternal Sunshine) takes things into naughty territory, and let’s just say, this is NOT about gardening.
Our ponytailed queen is out here dropping some, ahem, suggestive lyrics, making dandelions sound like they belong in an R-rated nature documentary.
In the pre-chorus, Ariana whispers sweet nothings (and by “sweet nothings,” we mean straight-up innuendos) like:
💨 “I got what you need / I’m thinking you should plant this seed.”
Yes, you read that right. Plant. This. Seed. 🌱 If your mind is in the gutter, congrats, that’s exactly where Ariana wants it.
And it doesn’t stop there! She continues:
💨 “Boy, just don’t blow this / Got me like, ‘What’s your wish list?’ / You can get anything you’d like / I’ll be your dandelion, mm-mm.”
For those unfamiliar with dandelion mythology (a very serious field of study), legend has it that if you blow on a dandelion, your wish will come true. In this song, Ariana is the dandelion. And her man? Well, let’s just say he better wish responsibly.
🚨 Moral of the story? 🚨
– Ariana is making florists blush. 🌼
– Science teachers everywhere are sweating.
– The phrase “plant this seed” will never sound the same again.
Now go listen to “Dandelion” and try not to look at flowers the same way ever again. 🌬️😏
