Get ready to chuckle, because it seems like Ariana Grande had a blast filming the upcoming “Wicked” movie.
“It was like, totally mind-blowing. Like, I can’t even explain it. It was like floating on a cloud made of rainbows and unicorns,” Grande gushed on Vogue’s Met Gala red carpet, sounding like she just stumbled out of a fairy tale herself. “I mean, seriously, I’m more obsessed with this thing than I am with my morning coffee, and trust me, that’s saying something, because coffee is life.”
Grande is stepping into the fabulous shoes of Glinda, the Good Witch, in what’s shaping up to be the cinematic event of the century, alongside the incredible Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, the misunderstood Wicked Witch of the West.
Joining a lineup of stars who’ve rocked these roles before, including the powerhouse Idina Menzel and the enchanting Kristin Chenoweth, Grande couldn’t contain her excitement. “Working with Cynthia has been like discovering a treasure chest full of glitter and puppies. It’s changed me. Changed me.”
Describing the filming experience as a “magical rollercoaster ride with extra sprinkles on top,” Grande teased fans with a promise of something special coming soon. And if you’re wondering what that might be, well, keep your eyes peeled because a sneak peek dropped during the Super Bowl, and let’s just say, it’s wickedly good.
Dressed to slay in a pink gown that probably costs more than a small country, Grande rocked the Met Gala red carpet like it was her own personal yellow brick road. “I mean, come on, this dress is like if Barbie became a real person and then decided to become a fashion designer. It’s everything!”
The “Wicked” movie, a two-part extravaganza that’s basically the Broadway musical’s cooler, bigger sibling, delves into the Ozian universe before Dorothy’s epic arrival, exploring how Elphaba went from being a misunderstood green gal to the wickedly iconic Witch of the West.
With a cast that includes the legendary Jeff Goldblum, the incomparable Michelle Yeoh, and a sprinkle of Bowen Yang’s comedic genius, this movie promises to be the ultimate popcorn flick.
So mark your calendars! “Wicked: Part 1” is hitting theaters on November 27, and if you think you can handle it, “Wicked: Part 2” is coming to blow your mind in late 2025. Get ready to defy gravity and laugh your socks off, because this is one magical journey you won’t want to miss!
