Angelina Jolie is out here doing what every parent secretly dreads—giving their kid their old apartment and hoping it doesn’t turn into a frat house.
In a recent chat with The New York Times, the 49-year-old Oscar winner spilled the tea that one of her grown-up sons has taken over the New York City apartment she bought back in her 20s. And surprise, surprise—it’s also turned into a five-star crash pad for his siblings. Because, of course.
According to the report, the apartment is now technically his, but Angelina? Oh, she’s only allowed to visit “sometimes.” Translation: Mom’s on a guest list, and she better RSVP in advance.
In fact, she recently tried to swing by, only to be hit with the dreaded, “Uh, can you give me a day to clean?”
“I thought, I appreciate that, you should clean up for your mother. But also, how bad is it?” Angelina joked. (Our guess? A solid 8.5 on the bachelor pad disaster scale.)
Jolie, of course, shares six kids with her ex Brad Pitt: Maddox (23), Pax (21), Zahara (20), Shiloh (18), and twins Knox and Vivienne (16). And let’s be real—if this apartment’s walls could talk, they’d probably be screaming.
But Angelina isn’t sticking around L.A. forever. She’s previously hinted that as soon as her youngest kids turn 18, she’s planning to pack her bags and head straight for Cambodia. Whether that’s to escape the chaos or just enjoy some well-earned peace? TBD.
