50 Cent Thinks Diddy’s Apology is a Flop
Oh, boy, it looks like 50 Cent has some thoughts on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ latest escapade, and spoiler alert: they’re not good.
The 48-year-old rap icon decided to drop some wisdom (or shade, you decide) on Diddy’s public apology video. This heartfelt moment was prompted by the leak of a 2016 surveillance tape showing Diddy going all WWE on his ex, Cassie. She’s previously accused him of this in a lawsuit, so, yeah, it’s messy.
With the kind of emoji flair you’d expect from a teenager, 50 Cent reposted Diddy’s apology and commented, “👀This is not going to work, who is advising him right now? SMH bad move.” In other words, he’s wondering who let Diddy out of the PR crisis cage without a proper plan.
But wait, there’s more. 50 Cent didn’t stop there. He went on, “I understand how she feels seeing him apologize not addressing her after this video gets out. It makes it feel like he wasn’t thinking of how she felt having to see it. SMH where is his crisis management PR team? That was a bad move 😳.”
Basically, 50 is giving Diddy’s PR team a solid F- in damage control. Because nothing says “I’m sorry” like a vague apology that doesn’t actually mention the person you wronged, right? If there’s a class on how not to do an apology tour, Diddy might just be the case study.
