Zendaya didn’t just show up to the 2025 Met Gala, she made an entrance that had everyone at the Metropolitan Museum of Art wondering if we were in a real-life fashion dream, or if they’d accidentally walked into the set of a sci-fi movie. The 28-year-old mega-star made her appearance on Monday evening (May 5), stunning in an all-white ensemble that practically screamed “I’m here to save the Met Gala and also still make it to set for Euphoria and Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey — no big deal.”
Of course, Zendaya is rocking a Louis Vuitton look. Duh. As a House Ambassador (which is basically the fashion world’s equivalent of a superhero), it’s no surprise she’s in full LV gear. She’s also sporting Jimmy Choo shoes because why not add a little extra “I’m out of your league” to the mix?
Oh, and by the way, just a few weeks ago, Zendaya was in a Louis Vuitton campaign, living her best Italian Riviera life. I mean, who isn’t? Just casually strolling through one of the most glamorous places on earth, wearing high-fashion like it’s a casual Tuesday. She’s a vibe.
This year’s Met Gala theme is all about “Tailored for You,” which, honestly, sounds like it could be a tagline for a new Netflix dating show. But it’s actually focusing on menswear and suiting, with a nod to the museum’s new exhibition “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” This exhibition pulls inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity—which, no biggie, just casually redefining fashion history.
This year, there are six celebrities serving as co-chairs, plus 25 other stars on the host committee, but honestly? Zendaya could’ve just shown up in a trash bag and still been crowned the real queen of the night.
