Hold onto your socks, because Zayn Malik just ticked off a colossal milestone from his solo artist bucket list – his first-ever concert extravaganza!
Last Friday night (May 17), the 31-year-old “PILLOWTALK” heartthrob serenaded London, England, with his dulcet tones to celebrate the release of his new album, *Room Under the Stairs*. Cue the fireworks and confetti cannons – this was his first full show since he did the unthinkable and parted ways with One Direction back in 2015. (Yeah, we’re still not over it either.)
After the show, Zayn got all sentimental on us, dropping a heartfelt message on social media that might just make you tear up a bit (if you’re into that kind of thing).
Our boy Zayn hit up Instagram to share some juicy clips from his performance, layering his silky voice over the footage like butter on warm toast.
“I don’t even know where to start. Thank you would be the first. For all of your love and support over the years. None of this would have been possible,” he oozed, making our hearts do little somersaults. “Thank you for waiting. I know it took a while, but we’re here now. So this is an exciting night. I’m very grateful for you all, and I hope you have a great night tonight.”
And just to make sure we didn’t miss the memo, he slapped an “unforgettable night” label on the whole shebang in the caption.
For this much-anticipated shindig, Zayn kept things short and sweet, belting out six tracks from the new album. No word yet on whether he’s gearing up for a full-blown tour, but we’re crossing our fingers, toes, and anything else that can be crossed. After all, Zayn has a history of ghosting his own gigs due to anxiety, leaving us hanging and humming “What Makes You Beautiful” in the shower.
In a recent tell-all, Zayn spilled the tea on his biggest One Direction regret. But that’s another story for another day.
