Zayn Malik Announces His First Solo Tour, The ‘Stairway To The Sky’ Tour

Zayn Malik is back, baby! That’s right, the former One Direction heartthrob (now solo star and professional brooder) is officially hitting the road. And no, he’s not just driving to get groceries or picking up dry cleaning—he’s going on his first-ever solo headlining tour since leaving the boy band in 2015. Yes, it’s taken him that long to pack his bags.

In a truly dramatic entrance during The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon (because why walk in like a normal human when you can mysteriously appear?), Zayn popped out from behind a curtain like a rock ‘n’ roll magician. Clad in a black leather jacket (as all serious musicians must be) and clutching a coffee mug like he’s been through things, Zayn casually strolled over to Jimmy’s laptop and hijacked the show. Because, of course, why wouldn’t you?

With the confidence of a man who hasn’t been outside since 2015, Zayn decided it was the perfect moment to drop some major news: “Hey Jimmy, great to see you, mate,” Jimmy read from Zayn’s note (because who talks directly to people these days?). “I’m going on my first-ever tour this autumn. So maybe when you’re done picking apples with your buds, you can come check out my Stairway to the Sky Tour across the U.S. and UK.”

Apples? Really, Zayn?

The tour, which will hit a whopping 11 cities (because apparently Zayn believes in the power of “quality over quantity”), starts on October 23 in San Francisco. So, if you live in the Bay Area, lucky you! But if you’re in, say, Wyoming… well, better start saving for a plane ticket. He’ll be wrapping up the North American leg on November 2 in New York City (the city that never sleeps, much like Zayn, judging by that coffee mug). Afterward, Zayn will jet across the pond for the UK leg of the tour, making stops in places like Edinburgh, Manchester, London, and finally his hometown of Newcastle, where he’ll probably get the warmest “Welcome back, where have you been?!” reception.

Want tickets? Of course, you do. Presale tickets drop on Thursday (September 19), because no concert is complete without the high-stakes game of “refresh the browser until your fingers go numb.” And if you miss the presale, don’t worry—there will be more presales throughout the week. The general sale starts on Saturday (September 21) at 11 a.m. local time. But remember to visit inzayn.com—yes, that’s his actual website—because nothing says, “I’m a serious artist” like a pun on your own name.

So, grab your tickets, your leather jacket, and a strong cup of coffee, and prepare to ascend the Stairway to the Sky with Zayn Malik. It’s going to be inzayn!
