‘You’ Season 5 Teaser Drops: Joe Goldberg Is Back to Creep You Out One Last Time!

Buy Me A Coffee

Netflix just dropped a teaser for the grand finale of You! That’s right, our favorite literature-loving lunatic, Joe Goldberg—played by the ever-broody Penn Badgley—is making his final return to New York City. Will he find peace? Redemption? A new woman to monologue about while staring dramatically through windows? Stay tuned!

Joining Badgley in this last season of obsession and oddly specific baking references are Charlotte Richie, Madeline Brewer, Anna Camp, and Griffin Matthews.

Plot Twist Alert!
Netflix’s official description teases:

“In the epic fifth and final season, Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires.”

Translation: Joe thinks he’s retiring from being a psychotic stalker, but surprise! Turns out, that’s not how this works. That’s not how any of this works.

When Can You Watch Joe’s Final Spiral?

Meanwhile, Over at Netflix HQ…
In other streaming drama, Netflix recently decided to cancel one show and renew three others between January and February 2025. No word yet on whether they consulted Joe Goldberg on their decision-making process. But if they had, we imagine there’d be a very intense inner monologue involved.
