Stop the presses and spin the dang wheel — Vanna White just dished on her post-Pat life, and spoiler alert: it’s not full of lonely letter-turning and solo dinners!
In case you’ve been living under a vowel, Pat Sajak peaced out from Wheel of Fortune last year after hosting since 1981 — aka when dinosaurs still roamed the Earth and perms were socially acceptable. His replacement? America’s forever host, Ryan “I-do-everything” Seacrest.
But what about Vanna? Is she crying into a pile of glittery gowns and unused consonants? Not quite.
“I still see him! We’re friends. We have dinner!” said Vanna, casually dropping this wholesome bombshell in an interview with TV Insider. She added, “He’s still in my life,” which sounds like what you’d say about an ex you actually like and not, say, someone who ghosted you after a group project.
After co-hosting with Pat for over 30 years — that’s longer than most celebrity marriages and definitely longer than my New Year’s resolutions — Vanna admitted his exit was kind of a bummer.
“It was sad for me in a way,” she confessed. “I didn’t know what the future held. It was ending an unbelievable era.”
Translation: She was worried about the Wheel without her partner-in-puzzles, but don’t worry — Vanna’s still standing strong in heels, flipping letters, and making sure Seacrest doesn’t accidentally spin the entire set off the stage.
So while Pat may have retired from the big wheel, he hasn’t retired from Vanna’s heart — or her dinner plans. Iconic duo status: still fully intact.
