Vanna White just checked off another first in her legendary career—getting inked!
The 68-year-old Wheel of Fortune queen (because let’s be real, she runs that show) took a walk on the wild side and got her very first tattoo. But she didn’t just go to any old tattoo artist—oh no! She let her 27-year-old daughter, Giovanna “Gigi” Santo Pietro, who is a professional tattoo artist at Lincoln Tattoo Company in Venice, Calif., take the wheel. Literally. And thankfully, she didn’t solve the puzzle as “MOM REGRETS EVERYTHING.”
Taking to Instagram, Vanna gave her followers a behind-the-scenes look at her big ink adventure. And let’s just say, it was a mix of bravery, love, and possibly some mild panic.
“She’s not making me do this. It’s my choice,” Vanna assured everyone, probably before someone asked, “Blink twice if you need help.” She then revealed her tattoo of choice—a pink heart on her wrist. Why? Because it was done by her daughter, and what better way to flex your mom card than with a permanent reminder of your kid’s artistry?
As Gigi got to work, she casually asked, “Are you nervous? I can feel you shaking.” Because nothing builds confidence like knowing your canvas (a.k.a. your mother) is one deep breath away from bolting out of the chair.
Vanna, ever the drama queen in the best way, joked, “I don’t know if I can watch. I might pass out.” Then, like a true pro, she turned to the camera and mouthed, “I don’t feel anything.” Either she has nerves of steel, or she was simply in shock.
Once Gigi finished, Vanna beamed with pride and declared, “It looks perfect! It’s just what I wanted.” And just like that, America’s sweetheart officially became a tattooed rebel.
Along with Gigi, Vanna and her ex-husband George Santo Pietro also share a 30-year-old son, Nikko, who recently went viral—presumably for something that didn’t involve tattooing his famous mother.
