Vanessa Williams has been flying solo for quite a while now!
The fabulous 61-year-old star recently spilled the beans to People in a new cover story, revealing that she discreetly and amicably parted ways with her third husband, Jim Skrip, back in 2021. Apparently, the split was so quiet, even the crickets were whispering.
“There isn’t one person that I’m in love with, but I’m in love with everybody,” she gushed. That’s right, guys—Vanessa is spreading love like confetti at a parade.
“I love my freedom. I love being alive, having options in my life, and being surrounded by beautiful things, great people, and wonderful opportunities,” she added. In other words, she’s living her best life and loving every minute of it.
Before Jim, Vanessa had a couple of other marriages under her belt. She was hitched to public relations consultant Ramon Hervey II from 1987 to 1997 and former NBA player Rick Fox from 1999 to 2004. Talk about a star-studded lineup!
Vanessa’s got a squad of kiddos too. She welcomed three children with her first hubby: daughters Melanie, 37, and Jillian, 35, and son Devin, 31. With her second husband, she added daughter Sasha, 24, to her brood. It’s like her own mini basketball team, minus the dribbling.
In July of 2015, Vanessa and Jim tied the knot in Buffalo, New York. It was a wedding to remember, but now she’s moved on to bigger and better things—like embracing singlehood with open arms and a heart full of love for everyone!
