Taylor Swift just gave us another reason to swoon in her second VMAs acceptance speech of the night, and this time, it was all about her main man, Travis Kelce!
So, picture this: Taylor, the reigning queen of the evening, was up on stage for her final speech at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. The event took place at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York on September 11. The whole crew was there, including her buddy Post Malone and the masterminds behind her “Fortnight” video, which apparently wasn’t just a sad-sack fest but a total blast to film.
As Taylor was soaking in the glory for winning Video of the Year, she decided to give a shout-out to her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. Apparently, while they were making this epic video, Travis turned into the MVP of the shoot. Every time Taylor shouted “cut” and wrapped up a take, there was Travis, somewhere in the studio, being the loudest cheerleader you could imagine—complete with enthusiastic whoops and cheers.
She gushed, “This video might look all gloomy and deep, but behind the scenes, it was a party, thanks to my boyfriend Travis. He’s like the human equivalent of sprinkling fairy dust everywhere. I mean, everything he touches just turns into fun and magic. I’m so grateful for that.”
Taylor also took a moment to thank her fans with her usual mix of heartfelt and slightly bewildered gratitude: “I’m constantly trying to find ways to say thanks for making my life so amazing, for turning the Eras Tour into this epic journey, and for transforming The Tortured Poet’s Department into something pretty spectacular. Seriously, you guys rock!”
Oh, and by the way, Taylor has now collected a whopping 30 moon men, smashing Beyoncé’s old record of 25. Looks like Taylor’s not just breaking hearts—she’s breaking records too!
