Bad news, Spider-fans: Tom Holland’s next adventure as your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man has been rudely shoved back a week, presumably by a villainous movie calendar overlord.
Originally set to swing into theaters on July 24, 2026, Spider-Man 4 will now be fashionably late, arriving on July 31, 2026 instead. That’s right—a whole seven days later. We know, we know, an eternity!
According to Variety, this teeny-tiny delay might have something to do with Tom Holland’s other blockbuster, The Odyssey, which is still set to premiere on July 17, 2026. Because apparently, Hollywood execs don’t want to overwhelm us with too much Tom Holland at once. (Rude.)
Meanwhile, Zendaya’s return as MJ is still floating in the multiverse of uncertainty. Will she be back? Will Peter Parker have to text, “U up?” into the void? We don’t know yet.
And just in case you were wondering, July 2026 is shaping up to be an all-out cinematic brawl. Spider-Man will have to duke it out with Minions 3 (because nothing says “cinematic excellence” like little yellow gibberish-spewing creatures), a live-action Moana (hopefully starring The Rock singing his heart out), and the highly-anticipated Paw Patrol 3, because let’s be honest—those crime-fighting puppies are box office kryptonite.
Spider-Man’s next big swing is slightly delayed, but at least we won’t have to wait too long. In the meantime, go ahead and rewatch No Way Home for the 472nd time. We won’t judge. 🕷️💥
