Sinead O’Connor’s estate has put their foot down, throwing some serious shade at none other than the one and only “biblical devil” himself, Donald Trump. It seems Trump had been grooving to O’Connor’s iconic rendition of “Nothing Compares 2 U” at his political shindigs, much to the dismay of those left behind.
In a joint statement that probably had Trump reaching for his Twitter, O’Connor’s estate and Chrysalis Records demanded that Trump cease and desist his musical antics ASAP. They weren’t mincing words either, claiming that the late songstress would be rolling in her grave faster than a DJ switching tracks if she knew her tunes were being used to pump up political rallies.
“Imagine the horror!” the statement seemed to scream. “Sinead would’ve been more furious than a bull in a china shop if she knew her masterpiece was being hijacked by someone she once labeled a ‘biblical devil’!”
And it didn’t stop there. O’Connor, who sadly shuffled off this mortal coil last year, had some spicy opinions about Trump while she was still amongst us. She wasn’t shy about voicing her belief that Trump wasn’t just a regular ol’ politician but a card-carrying Satanist. Yep, you read that right. According to her, Trump’s membership card was signed, sealed, and delivered straight from the depths of Hades.
“I mean, come on!” she seemed to exclaim from beyond the grave. “Klansmen, Satanists… it’s all the same, right? And Trump? Oh, he’s the devil incarnate!”
O’Connor was serving up some hot takes straight from the pages of “The Master And Margarita,” claiming Trump was a character ripped straight from the fiery depths of Russian author Mikhail Bulgakov’s imagination.
The battle of the bands meets politics in the most unexpected of ways. Will Trump keep spinning O’Connor’s hits at his rallies? Will the estate unleash the wrath of the legal system? Who knows? But one thing’s for sure: this drama’s got more twists and turns than a rollercoaster designed by M. Night Shyamalan.
