Simone Biles, the human version of a superhero who casually collects Olympic medals like they’re free samples at Costco, has revealed she won’t be sitting in the bleachers for many of her husband Jonathan Owens’ NFL games this season. Gasp!
The 27-year-old who literally flips for a living, attended Jonathan’s pre-season Chicago Bears game this weekend. Jonathan, who plays defense for the Bears (aka the guy who tries to stop other giant men from scoring touchdowns), had his No. 1 fan cheering from the sidelines. But—brace yourselves—this adorable power couple may not be giving us as many cutesy sideline shots as we’d like. Cue dramatic music.
So, what’s the deal? Why won’t Simone be turning up to every single one of Jonathan’s games with a foam finger and a touchdown dance routine? In her latest TikTok revelation, Simone gave us the scoop: conflict. And no, not the “my husband ate the last slice of pizza” kind of conflict. We’re talking about scheduling. You see, while Jonathan is busy tackling quarterbacks and winning hearts, Simone is gearing up for her own victory lap: The Gold Over America Tour.
“I’m not sure how many games I’ll be able to make because, in a few weeks, we go on tour,” Simone said, probably while flipping effortlessly through the air for emphasis. “And if you guys aren’t aware, I host the Gold Over America Tour!” Yes, Simone, we are aware. The same way we’re aware that gravity doesn’t seem to apply to you.
This epic tour, which is essentially a gymnastics Super Bowl on steroids (but, like, the legal kind), is set to feature the crème de la crème of Olympic gymnasts. You know, just your average crew of people who can somersault into space and land perfectly on their feet. Headliners include Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Hezly Rivera, Paul Juda, Frederick Richard, and Brody Malone, because why not assemble an all-star lineup of athletic marvels?
The tour kicks off on September 16 and will pirouette its way through 32 cities, wrapping up on November 3. So, unless Simone figures out how to clone herself (which, let’s be honest, seems more likely than her ever missing a dismount), she won’t be able to make every Bears game. But don’t worry, we’re pretty sure she’ll be doing mid-air flips to check the score during every halftime break.
@simonebilesowens yappin away about nothing ….. next time I’m playing music lmao – football season has started 🤎BEAR DOWN🤎
