Selma Blair, the 52-year-old star of Cruel Intentions and forever sassy queen of the screen, just dropped some movie-watching confessions on the red carpet. At the Daily Front Rowβs 11th Annual Fashion Media Awards (fancy, I know), Selma, looking glamorous as ever, got candid with People about her filmography. Spoiler: Sheβs a proud member of the βIβll-watch-my-own-moviesβ club.
Now, when asked about Cruel Intentions, a movie so iconic it probably has its own perfume line by now, Selma didnβt hold back. βItβs, like, one of the most gorgeous movies ever,β she declared, possibly while shimmering under the lights like a 90s goddess. βIt still holds up! I mean, itβs aged better than I have,β she joked (probably). βI love it, I love the cast, I love meβ¦whatβs not to love?β
And when it comes to rewatching her teenage drama masterpiece? Selma gave us the truth: βOh, Iβll watch it all the time,β she admitted, like a proud movie mom. βI mean, I donβt actively put it on, like, βOh, letβs have a Selma Blair movie night!ββ (Though, honestly, who wouldnβt?) βBut if itβs on in the background? Youβd have to pry the remote from my cold, dead hands before Iβd turn it off.β
Fast forward to the other classic β Legally Blonde. Apparently, Selma has a thing for never turning her movies off. βLegally Blonde? Same thing! I will never turn that off,β she confessed, probably sipping from a bedazzled cup that says βbend and snap forever.β
Why? Because, duh! βItβs happy, itβs fun, the energy is amazing, and I was so thrilled to be a part of it.β In other words, Selma Blairβs life motto is: if itβs pink, perky, or features Reese Witherspoon winning at life, itβs staying on the TV.
Selma Blair is basically living our dream β endlessly watching her own movies, accidentally, of course.
