Sabrina Carpenter, musical firecracker, ignited the stage at Governor’s Ball this weekend with a performance hotter than a jalapeño in a sauna.
The 25-year-old songstress unveiled her brand-spankin’-new single “Please Please Please” during her Saturday (June 8) set in the Big Apple. And let’s just say, the crowd was more pumped than a soda can in a paint shaker.
Having just dropped the song a few days ago, Sabrina decided to bless the festival-goers with its first-ever live performance. The excitement was palpable – like finding a twenty in your old jeans.
With June being Pride Month and all, Sabrina took the opportunity to spice things up with her “Nonsense” outro, serving up some sassy commentary aimed at the LGBTQ+ naysayers. As is her tradition, she whips up a fresh outro for each performance, usually roasting something relevant to the occasion.
“Do I text him back, it’s such a tough call / That won’t fit inside me, bro I’m dumb small / People who hate Pride, can suck my Gov Ball,” she belted out, leaving the audience cackling and cheering.
Sabrina Carpenter: serving vocals, sass, and a whole lot of sparkle.
