Princess Anne has made a grand exit from Southmead Hospital, and boy, do we have a story for you!
Earlier this week, the ever-resilient 73-year-old royal and sister to King Charles found herself in a bit of a pickleโor should we say, a prance? Reports suggest that she might have been hit by a horse, which, in royal circles, is basically a Tuesday. The incident was dramatic enough to give her a case of the royal fuzzies (memory loss, for us commoners).
But fear not, loyal subjects! By Friday morning (June 28), Princess Anne had checked out of Southmead Hospital in Bristol, England, and galloped back to her royal roost at Gatcombe Park. Her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, made the official announcement, probably while juggling a monocle and a teacup.
“I would like to extend my warmest thanks to all the team at Southmead Hospital for their care, expertise, and kindness during my wife’s short stay,” Sir Tim shared via Sky News, likely while holding back tears of joy and relief, and possibly a chuckle or two.
Now, Princess Anne might be out of the hospital, but sheโs not quite ready to get back to waving at crowds and cutting ribbons just yet. Her doctors have put the kibosh on any public duties until they give the royal thumbs-up.
So, until then, itโs Netflix and chill at Gatcombe Park for Princess Anne, with maybe just a touch more horse whispering and a lot less horse dodging.
