Prince William has allegedly dished out some juicy gossip about his late mom Princess Diana’s hidden crush on none other than Kevin Costner. Yes, you heard it right! The man who danced with wolves almost danced with royalty!
The star of *Yellowstone* spilt the beans during a chitchat on *The Howard Stern Show*. It turns out, years after the tragic 1997 accident that took the life of Britain’s beloved princess and her beau Dodi Al-Fayed, Costner had a royal rendezvous with the Prince of Wales. And boy, was it a blockbuster moment!
Before that fateful year, Diana was apparently gearing up for her Hollywood debut. Picture this: Princess Di swapping the palace for the big screen! She was in talks with Kevin for a potential role in a *Bodyguard* sequel. (Yes, really!) The mastermind behind this glitzy plan? Sarah Ferguson, of course. Who else?
But, plot twist! The royal family got wind of it and pulled the plug faster than you can say “lights, camera, action!” Costner claimed this royal intervention sparked an “ugly” feud that lasted longer than a never-ending soap opera.
Kevin, now 69 and still ruggedly handsome, recalled, “I was in England, and out of nowhere, I get this message saying the prince wanted to chat. My first thought was, ‘What? Did I forget to pay my tea tax?’ But I went along with it, thinking, why not?”
“So, we met in this super-secret room, just the two of us. He strolls up, we shake hands, and the first thing he says is, ‘You know, my mom kind of fancied you.’” Can you imagine? The future king casually dropping a bombshell like that!
Costner couldn’t stop gushing about the encounter. “William was such a sweetheart, a real stand-up guy. Quite a young man,” he swooned. It’s like a buddy film waiting to happen!
The actor left with “fond memories” of the prince, reminiscing about their chat like it was a scene from a feel-good movie. “Who knew? The royals are just like us, with crushes on movie stars and everything!”
