Stop what you’re doing (unless you’re literally whistling while you work, in which case—carry on) because Disney has just blessed the internet with a fresh new teaser for the live-action Snow White!
In this magical sneak peek, Rachel Zegler steps into the iconic role of the apple enthusiast herself, Snow White, and gives us a taste of her vocal skills by singing Whistle While You Work. Yes, it’s time to get those vocal cords warmed up because you just know this song is about to be stuck in your head for the next six months.
The Seven Dwarfs Are Back—And Still Need a Good Nap
This reimagining of Disney’s 1937 classic brings us back to a world where small men with wildly specific personality traits live together in the woods. Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, and Sneezy are making their return, and no, they still haven’t considered therapy for their extremely niche emotional issues.
Gal Gadot Is the Queen of Mean
Joining the cast is Gal Gadot, who has traded in her Wonder Woman tiara for a crown of pure villainy as the Evil Queen. She appears in the teaser proving that even the fairest of them all has competition—and that being a stepmother in fairy tales is always a PR nightmare. Not only that, but she even sings a new song! Yes, the Evil Queen sings, which is either going to be a terrifying experience or the campy villain moment we all deserve.
Also starring in the film is Andrew Burnap, who, judging by the teaser, does something important—details are still a mystery, but let’s assume he’s there to be charming and possibly get lost in a forest.
The Dream Team Behind the Magic
Directing this enchanted extravaganza is Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man), proving that he has range—from slinging webs to singing dwarfs. Producing is Marc Platt (The Little Mermaid, Wicked), so you know the drama and high notes will be top-tier.
And in a twist that could only be described as “chef’s kiss,” EGOT-winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul have cooked up some brand-new songs for the movie. If their work on La La Land and The Greatest Showman is anything to go by, prepare for tunes that will make you hum in the shower like you’re in a Broadway audition.
Mark Your Calendars!
The countdown is officially on—Snow White hits theaters on March 21st, which means you have just over a month to emotionally prepare for sing-alongs, stunning visuals, and an Evil Queen who is probably plotting world domination while looking absolutely fabulous.
Now, who’s ready to whistle?
