Morgan Wallen has dropped a brand-new song, and he’s finally fessing up to what we’ve suspected all along: he’s the problem (Taylor Swift’s lawyers, stay back).
Titled “I’m the Problem”, this track isn’t just another sad country tune about heartbreak, whiskey, and questionable decision-making—it’s the title track of his upcoming album. And guess what? We still don’t know when that album is coming out! Keeping fans in suspense? Now that’s a problem.
This marks the fourth song from the album, following “Smile,” which he sneakily dropped on New Year’s Eve like a last-minute resolution. That song is already sitting pretty at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, proving that people really love a good emotional crisis in music form.
As for “I’m the Problem”, Morgan croons:
🎶 I guess I’m the problem / And you’re Ms. ‘Never Do No Wrong’ 🎶
(Translation: “This is definitely your fault, but let’s pretend it’s mine.”)
🎶 If I’m so awful / Then why’d you stick around this long? 🎶
(Translation: “A valid question, Your Honor.”)
🎶 And if it’s the whiskey / Then why you keep on pullin’ it off the shelf? 🎶
(Translation: “We both know the bottle ain’t the only thing getting drunk in this house.”)
🎶 You hate that when you look at me, you halfway see yourself 🎶
(Translation: “This is a duet, whether you like it or not.”)
🎶 And it got me thinkin’ / If I’m the problem, well, you might be the reason. 🎶
(Translation: “Plot twist: maybe we BOTH belong in therapy.”)
So, if you’re in the mood for some self-reflection (or just wanna belt out your problems in a Southern accent), hit play below and grab “I’m the Problem” on iTunes—because if this song proves anything, it’s that denial sounds really good with a banjo. 🎸
