The trailer for Disney’s Moana 2 has just dropped, and it’s more epic than a surfing competition with a lava monster!

So, what’s the scoop? Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho just made our Friday night at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim the most exciting since the invention of glitter. They rocked the red carpet (figuratively, not literally—The Rock doesn’t actually rock red carpets) and gave us the first look at what’s brewing in the Moana universe.

Yep, Maui is back and he’s singing again. If you loved his tunes in the first film, get ready for some new earworms! And guess what? Moana’s got a tiny sidekick this time—her adorable little sister, who’s so cute she could probably convince a sea monster to do her homework.

Auli’i Cravalho even gave us a sneak peek of a new jam called “We’re Back” from the film, which is basically the musical equivalent of finding an extra fry at the bottom of the bag.

In this sequel, Moana and Maui are teaming up once more for a globe-trotting adventure. After getting a mysterious SOS from her ancestors (because apparently, they don’t do emails), Moana sets off to explore uncharted waters and face challenges that make the last movie look like a day at the beach.

Returning to voice their beloved characters are Rachel House as Moana’s wisdom-dispensing Grandma Tala, Temuera Morrison as her protective dad Chief Tui, and Nicole Scherzinger as her caring mom Sina.

New faces in the voice cast include Hualālai Chung, David Fane, and Rose Matafeo as Moana’s quirky new crew members Moni, Kele, and Loto. We’ve also got Awhimai Fraser voicing the enigmatic Matangi, Gerald Ramsey as the legendary ancestor Tautai Vasa, and Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda giving life to Moana’s pint-sized, adoring little sis Simea.

Mark your calendars, because Moana 2 is sailing into theaters on November 27th. Prepare for a tidal wave of fun, laughter, and maybe a few dance-offs with sea creatures!
