“Marrying The 1975 is very brat,” Gabbriette captioned a pic of her bling on Instagram Story, adding a dash of sass and sparkle. The rumor mill had been spinning faster than a DJ at a rave ever since she was spotted rocking some serious finger bling back in May.
Matty’s mom let the cat out of the bag on Wednesday (June 12) during her guest spot on the UK’s Loose Women. Imagine her sipping tea, pinky out, casually dropping bombshells about her rockstar son.
“I’ve known for weeks that Matty got engaged,” she dished with the poise of a seasoned gossip queen. “They jetted off to hang with their pals Charli and 1975 drummer George Daniel in New York, and this morning, boom – it’s Instagram official. Our Matty’s locked it down with Gabriella Bechtel – Gabbriette to the cool kids. He popped the question with a black diamond ring he had custom-made for her. Seriously, could I be any more ecstatic? She’s the daughter-in-law of my dreams!”
