Lady Gaga is back, and she’s been busy pulling a “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” with her music, shapeshifting between sounds like a squirrel in a nut factory! We’ve all seen her go from glittery glam to dark and moody, and now she’s off promoting ‘Joker 2: Folie à Deux’ (I mean, who doesn’t love a movie with a title that sounds like a fancy French dessert?). Oh, and let’s not forget her surprise album, ‘Harlequin’—because who doesn’t want to binge on more Gaga?
In a recent tête-à-tête with Rolling Stone, our favorite pop sorceress dropped some juicy tidbits about her upcoming 7th “traditional Pop” album, which we shall call ‘LG7’ for simplicity, because let’s face it, even her album titles need a secret decoder ring.
Gaga described the untitled album as “unhinged”—and honestly, who needs a hinge anyway? She teased, “This album is nothing like Chromatica. It’s like comparing a gourmet meal to a microwave burrito. I don’t even know if I’m ready to talk about it yet, but I feel like it’s lurking around the corner like a cat waiting to pounce. It’s coming soon, and when it does, hold onto your hats!”
She went on to reveal that the album is all about her: “It’s meant to be ingested like a fine wine or a giant slice of cake—preferably both! And guess what? I don’t have to stick to one era. I can juggle a few at once, like a circus performer on a unicycle. It feels unhinged [laughs] and more like me or Harley or whoever! I mean, who even knows anymore?”
So, keep your calendars marked for February because Gaga’s ‘LG7’ is set to drop and we’re all ready to embrace the chaos. Pop music hasn’t been this much fun since… well, ever!
