Kristin Davis is serving up some juicy, real-life rom-com drama, and honestly? We relate.

ICYMI, the 60-year-old Sex and the City star and the 66-year-old 30 Rock funnyman Alec Baldwin had a brief fling back in 2001. And while you might think their love story ended in a dramatic, heart-wrenching farewell, the truth is… well, far less poetic.

Kristin recently popped onto the Literally! With Rob Lowe podcast (which, by the way, sounds like the most aggressively chill podcast name ever) and revealed the “oh no, I can’t believe I’m admitting this” reason she hesitated to call it quits with Alec.

It all started when Kristin was dishing about a past relationship with a struggling actor who dumped her after she lent him $5,000. (The audacity! The nerve! The sheer unemployment-fueled confidence!) But before anyone got it twisted, she made sure to clarify: Alec Baldwin was NOT that guy.

“Alec Baldwin was so rich by the time I dated Alec Baldwin,” she declared, as if she were reading directly from a Forbes report.

And then came the kicker.

“One of the best things about Alec Baldwin when I dated him is that he had the most incredible house in Amagansett,” Kristin admitted. And this wasn’t just any house. This was a dream house. A house so spectacular, so Pinterest-worthy, that it made her question her entire romantic decision-making process.

β€œI remember I was at work, and I was like, β€˜Sarah Jessica [Parker], I just don’t know if it’s going to work out with Alec and me, but I just really love that house,’” Kristin confessed, with the energy of someone genuinely torn between love and high-end real estate.

She went on to say that this was literally one of the only times in her life she ever struggled to break up with someone because of their house. Not their personality. Not their charm. Not their soul. Their house.

And honestly? Mood.

Kristin wrapped it all up by admitting that saying this out loud was β€œso embarrassing.” But let’s be realβ€”who among us wouldn’t at least consider sticking around for a man with the perfect kitchen island and ocean views?
