Kristen Bell is dishing on her all-time fave TV gigs, and spoiler alert: she’s not done with them yet.
The 44-year-old star of Nobody Wants This (seriously, who came up with that title?) sat down with People to drop some truth bombs about potential reboots for Veronica Mars and The Good Place. Apparently, she’s got her phone ready and waiting for those sweet, sweet reunion calls.
“I’m so down for it, like down on the floor ready!” Kristen exclaimed, probably while lying on the ground for dramatic effect. “I’ve been yelling this from the rooftops! Why did they even end in the first place? I had no part in that decision!”
In case you forgot (and shame on you if you did), Veronica Mars first graced our screens in 2004, disappeared like a bad magic trick, then popped back up for a fan-funded movie in 2014. Not one to be outdone by itself, it also had a revival season on Hulu in 2019. Meanwhile, The Good Place gracefully bowed out in 2020 after four glorious seasons of moral philosophy and frozen yogurt.
But Kristen? She’s like, “Let’s fire up the fro-yo machine again!”
She even hopped on her husband Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast (because who doesn’t use their spouse’s podcast for life updates?) to explain why she’s making a return to the acting world after pulling a full-on mom retreat for a few years.
“I missed it, okay?!” she confessed, probably with that charming, panicky tone that only Kristen Bell can pull off. “I’ve been doing the full-time mom thing, and while my kids are cool and all, sometimes you just want to wear makeup and pretend to be someone else for a while. Plus, I needed an excuse to leave the house. Being creative is fun, and my kids won’t let me direct their lives. Rude, right?”
Kristen Bell is ready for action, fro-yo, and probably some witty crime-solving. Hollywood, take notes!
